Lab report in...

We received the pathology report yesterday on Stephanie's biopsy. The mole that was removed showed moderate signs of irregularity, (along with about twenty other words that you can only understand if you have been to medical school).

So, after an evening of wondering what it all meant, the doctor's office called and suggested surgery on Thursday. Of course I said okay. Apparently Stephanie will have a 2cm diameter of surrounding tissue removed in order for any remaining tissue to not be of issue. She will not be put to sleep, but will be given a shot to numb the area. That does not sound like fun to me...but who am I to ask, I can barely use a q-tip in my bellybutton without feeling squeamish.

Seriously, please continue to pray for us. Healing... Good report... Maybe even a bargain, two for one special this month from our dermatologist.

I know this is scary, but your MD seems to be on top of it and you have been proactive about getting her checked out. Hang in there, and I will continue to cover you with prayer...

I am lifting up your baby girl and you! I know you probably know this one by heart...but read Psalm 91. It's all I can say in my head right now over you all!

Lord, I ask that the surgery will go well and not cause Stephanie any discomfort. May she heal quickly and no longer have any ill-effects from this. Give her family the means they need to pay for this procedure, and may this be a time when they draw closer as a family and closer to You as You shower blessings on them. Amen.

In Jeremiah 30:17 it says I will restore you to health and heal your wounds. I will be praying that over your sweet Stephanie.

We are definitely praying for Steph's physical health as well as her emotional well being of having to have this done. We're praying you and Steve's emotional fortitude through this too!

We are praying and so is Abbie! She is so concerned for her friend and when she came home from dance today she told me everthing Steph had told her. She asked me if I knew and I told her yes. She said "we better get to praying." That my friend is what we are doing.
